Message ...because there was no 10w or 5w or 0w 50 oils yet to purchase. Now, years later, there is. SZ uses(and sells) Eneos Racing Street (same as Eneos Sustina) 0w-50 in GTR oil changes, unless a customer requests something else. SZ also uses Eneos 0w-50 in many high-powered Nissan cars, including Z's. A 0w oil is still within the viscosity range of a 10w, with arguably better protection during cold starts and in cold(er) weather. The 50 is obviously for combating high engine temps, specifically advantageous in turbo cars, which is why Greg suggested it these many years ago. I'm in no way saying 20w-50 isn't appropriate, only that there are now alternatives that could be as good or better. Cheers.
